MYTH – A lot of people blame stress and anxiety for any symptoms that they may have.
If your heart starts beating faster while at work, even at rest, it might not be that never-ending task list you’re looking at. It could be an irregular heartbeat.
If you feel like you’re hyperventilating, it might not be due to the presentation you’re about to give to the board. It could be a heart problem.
Even if it was stress or anxiety that lead to the previous two scenarios, that stress and anxiety is still doing damage to your heart. Try some relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation, or soothing baths.
